7 Quick Ways to Make Money

Sep 28 2013 Parent Category I

Anyone that has gotten stuck in a situation where they need a bit of cash quickly to pay for an expense knows that during that time, options seem quite limited. You are more worried about paying rent or making your car payment than you are able to relax and focus on how you could get that money quickly. Well, thankfully for you, there are quick ways to get money out there. Here are some easy ways to get a little cash quickly so that you can meet that need without the stress and panic that usually comes part and parcel for that package.

Help Someone

This may not make sense, but think about it. You can help someone you know watch an item of importance to them. You can watch their kids, or maybe even their pets for a little cash. If you happen to have someone around you that is going out of town, you can even ask them to house sit for a little extra cash to help cover that bill you are a little short on. Each of these items is near and dear to someone, so most will pay quite sensibly to have someone they trust keep it safe and secure.

Sell What You Don’t Need

There are numerous sites around the Internet that allow you to sell off your unwanted or unused items. Take a look around your home and figure out what items you have not used in a few months or you know you won’t use again. Maybe you even have jewelry or clothing that is just not your style anymore that can go. Each of these items could net you a little bit of the cash you need to make it to your financial goal. You could also sell what you don’t need in a yard sale or at a pawnshop.

Change Around the House

How many places do you have spare change? You may have some under your couch cushions, some in a jar in the office area of your home, and you probably have some in your car. Combining all of the change you have in and around your home could net you more than you think. Try going through your home and see what you can come up with. Most banks allow their own customers to have their coins counted for free, but if you do not have that option, many grocery stores have coin-counting machines that only cost a fraction of each dollar. Make sure you check your nightstand, under your bed, the kitchen, the laundry room, and under the floor mats in your car. All of these places are notorious for hiding change.

Recycle Cans

If you have cans around your home, find a local recycling center that will let you turn them in for cash. Most places will pay you anywhere from about fifty cents per pound up to a dollar or so per pound, so call around. The more cans you have, the more money you will be able to earn. Just don’t pass up the closest place to home for one further away that will pay you a cent or two more per pound, as you would waste the bonus in the gas getting there.

Start Your Own Business

No matter what talents you have, you can likely make or provide something that other people need. This can be items that you create and sell, or it can be helping others with a job you know they do not want to do or struggle to do. Sometimes this is helping with computers, other times it is walking neighborhood dogs. Either way, this can earn you a quick bit of cash in next to no time.

Get a Loan

While payday and personal loans are not always the best option, they may be the fastest way to be able to get the cash in hand that you need. Take only what you need, and make sure you will be able to pay it back on time to avoid excess fees down the line. This should be used as a last resort for most circumstances, as it can easily be something that can make your future financial situation just as uncertain as the one you are in now.

Freelance Online

There are hundreds of companies that are looking for remote workers. You can write, give opinions, offer reviews, or even do paid surveys. The possibilities are endless if you look around the Internet. Do a search for whatever service you could provide and start sorting through the results to see what options you have. This is a one way to get the quick cash you need and could also turn into a long-term gig.
